6 YEARS~

I have finally gotten a chance to edit and sort through the pictures I captured for Caitlyn's six year birthday. I really watched her play for awhile to capture some of these and then of course when she realized the camera was on her, she couldn't help but give me a few poses.
So, here she is in her world of imaginary dress-up:

I thank the Lord for this (not so little) girl. She constantly amazes me with her maturity and servant like attitude. She made her lunch for school today all by herself and helped mommy do many things that needed to get done before we headed off for school day at Ladonna's.

She has such an excitement for others. In fact I think she was genuinely more excited for Micah's birthday than he was...well maybe almost just as excited as he was:) She had a blast picking out a few presents for him with Daddy and enjoyed every minute of watching Micah open them with excitement. She also made Mommy's birthday very special because of her enthusiasm for celebrating the day and picking out flowers and cake...she wanted to make my day so special and she succeeded! In fact she woke Daddy up very early the morning of my birthday and together they made me breakfast in bed. Thank you Lord for this amazing little girl~ Yes I want her to stay little as long as possible:)

Hop on Pop~

Bedtime can be kind of challenging without Daddy. We are working on having a fairly normal routine without him:) but you now it's just not the same. Dakota's screaming to eat her cereal and the little one's need help brushing teeth. Daddy does a lot around here! I don't know what I would do without him:) This young lady also does quite a bit to help. I was so proud of her the other night and realized how far she has come during this school year. I was busy feeding Dakota and she helped Cassidy dress for bed. Everyone was "ready" for bed but our routine wasn't quite finished. We usually read a book and sing a little before bed. Without even asking her, Caitlyn grabbed Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss and read the entire book to her brother and sister. AND they sat, in full attention, listening to every word.
Yes, this was definitely one of those proud parent moments.
She is doing a great job in reading but the best part of all is that I am seeing her LOVE to learn.
Thanks Ladonna! I know you have a lot to do with her love of learning:)
